Thank you for your interest in nominating one of our volunteers or teams for an award this year! If you'd like to nominate more than one volunteer, please just fill this form in as many times as you need to. There will then be a co-produced judging panel who will decide on the winners. We're really excited to celebrate all our volunteers at the online ceremony on Wednesday 8 October at 2pm!
To help you choose which category to nominate a volunteer for, the criteria for each category is on the nomination home page. It also has some ideas and examples of reasons for nominating.
At Scope we use the social model of disability. It is important that you consider this in your nomination.
The social model says that people are disabled by barriers in society and not by their impairment or difference. The barriers can be physical things such as buildings being inaccessible. Barriers can also be people’s attitudes. For example making assumptions that disabled people are unable to do certain things.
When writing your nomination please use the social model of disability. Please do not share personal disability details of the person you are nominating. If you need advice before submitting your nomination, please contact the Volunteering Team. Email volunteering@scope.org.uk or call 0203 855 0838.
If you have any questions or want to nominate differently, please email volunteering@scope.org.uk. |
